Sacrifices and votive promises to other than Allah
Sacrifices and votive promises to other than Allah
1st part: doom one sacrifice to other than Allah
It is sad to see the deplorable state in which Muslims have fallen by cemeteries, tombs and some tombs destination sacred to which orients their hearts and passion that captured their souls. They do their best closer of the inhabitants of these tombs, spending with profligacy to obtain approval of their occupants, travel long distances and across vast deserts just to get closer to them. You can even see a poor man who has perhaps barely tasted the meat a year sacrifice a beast sacrifice before these tombs and votive promises to its inhabitants, by desire to see his wishes fulfilled and fearing to arouse their anger, which highlights the eminent degree of commitment in these tombs and the firmness of his belief in their effect on his life. How could Muslims fall into an abyss so deep? How have these if perilous deviations at the level of the creed impregnated their heart and their behaviour to become ultimately a worship that they practice, defend and seek to promote, being on the road as many allies and enemies!

Sacrifices to someone other than Allaah
The sacrifice is one of the most distinguished that Allah, exalted is he, has prescribed worship and it is extremely important to him devote this cult in all exclusivity. Indeed, the position that Islam adopted towards this practice has been clear since the beginning. It solemnly denies what were the people of the Jaahiliyyah (period of pre-Islamic ignorance) who worshipped idols and offered their sacrifices instead of devote them to Allah, exalted is he. Allah, the most high, ordered his Prophet () to oppose this and to devote to him alone all the sacrifices, putting this worship on the same footing with prayer, which must also him be devoted exclusively.

This is what Allah, the most high, confirmed by his words (meaning of the verse):
• ' Say: "Verily my prayer, my acts of devotion, my life and my death belong to Allah, Lord of the worlds ".» (Quran 6/162)
• " Made the stone for your Lord and sacrifice ." (Koran 108/2)
Elsewhere, devote sacrifice to other than Allah, exalted is he, is so reprehensible that the Prophet sin () cursed those who committed.

What confirms the importance of devotion in this prominent cult is that Allah, exalted is he, has prescribed the performance of sacrifices dedicated exclusively to him in number of worship and acts of devotion as the sacrifice of Eid al-ad-ha, of the ' aqîqa and the Hajj. There are many Islam's instructions to him who undertakes a sacrifice, in order to preserve the uniqueness of the worship of Allah, exalted is he, and to obstruct everything that promotes idolatry.

That is why Islam prohibits any sacrifice on which Allah's name has not been pronounced, and forbidden to sacrifice animals to sacrifice in places where the people of the Jaahiliyyah offered their sacrifices to their idols, even if the name of Allah is pronounced. Pulling argument in this regard of a history which dates back to the time of the Messenger of Allah (). It has been reported that a man had made a votive promise that was to sacrifice a camel at a place called "Buwana. The Prophet () asked:
-"Loved in this place one of the idols of the Jaahiliyyah? ''
-'No', said his companions, may Allah be pleased with them.
-' Is celebrated on one of their feasts?", he asked.
-'No', they said.
- « You therefore fulfilling your promise! », said to him the Messenger of Allah (). (Abu Dawuud)

The people of the Jaahiliyyah also had the habit of sacrificing animals on the graves in homage to the deceased; a custom that Islam came to abolish from the hadeeth of the Prophet (): " Point of sacrifice on the graves in Islam " (Ahmad and Abu Dawuud).

All this leads us to say that the sacrifice is a religious practice which, like other acts of devotion, must be exclusively devoted to Allah, exalted is he, and accomplished as he prescribed it. Therefore, devote this cult to another that Allah is a form of major idolatry that Allah does not forgive.

Imam an-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him explained the hadith where the Prophet () said: "may Allah curse anyone who dedicates a sacrifice to him " by the following: « devote a sacrifice to Allah means sacrifice the beast to sacrifice by pronouncing a name other than that of Allah, the most high, as one who dedicates his sacrifice to an idol. , a cross to Musa (Moses), to ' Issa (Jesus), the Ka ' ba, etc. All this is prohibited and meat immolee beast remains prohibited, that has sacrificed it is Muslim, Christian or Jew. If this is to glorify and worship that which the sacrifice is dedicated except Allaah, the most high, this Act is so Kufr».
