Questions about the beast of sacrifice

1- the beast of sacrifice must, to be valid, be part of the herd animals, whether camelids, cattle or sheep.Apart from these, it is not considered as valid, even if it's an edible beast, as hares, birds, antelopes, gazelles or any other wild animal.

2 - The butcher responsible for the immolation should not receive part of the beast of sacrifice, in return for his work, because ' Ali ibn Abî Talib, may Allah be pleased with him, said: «the Prophet () me ordered to monitor the immolation of his beast and donate its meat, its skin and its saddle pad. " He forbids me to give to the butcher as wages, and said: "we will pay our own resources." "(Bukhari and Muslim).

3 - it is forbidden to sell part of the beast of sacrifice, even her skin and her nails, because it fully belongs to Allah, exalted is he.

4 - It is recommended that the Muslim who burns a beast to eat, since the Prophet () did so. He asked that a piece of meat of sacrificed beast is put into a pot on the fire and when the meal was cooked, ate and purpose of his soup"(Bukhari and Muslim).

5 - The Muslim who burns a beast is directed to give a part in charity and shouldn't eat it whole. It is best to distribute the beast in three equal shares or three third party: it keeps the first, offers the second and gives the third in alms.

6 - It is preferable for those who intend to sacrifice a beast to refrain from cutting the hair and nails, the beginning of the first ten days of Dhu'l-Hijjah and until the day of immolation, has required from the hadeeth narrated by Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with it, and in which the Prophet (Salla Allahu ' Alaihi wa Sallam) said:

« If the first decade of Dhul-Hijjah began and one of you wants to sacrifice a beast, that it doesn't cut anything from her hair and her nails until he proceeded to immolation ».

That Allah, exalted is he, accept our works and yours.
