n Paradise, these people are closer to the Prophet, than anyone else

"Give orphans their property and do not change bad to good. Do not consume their possessions together with their property. Truly, this is a great sin "(Sura" Nisa ", verse 2)
In the pre-Islamic period, because of the high death rate of men and the ease of a divorce, growing number of single mothers and children left without parental care of street children. In case of death of the parents duty to care for orphans entrusted to the tribal leaders.During the period of Ignorance between tribes often had military clashes. Because these battles many people perished, there were many under the care of orphan girls.
It got even to the point that sometimes under the tutelage of one man was up to ten-fifteen orphans.Because the orphans were powerless to protect their rights, very often guardians took away all the inherited inherited them, and left them with nothing.
Our religion attaches great importance to ensuring that orphans were under the protection and supervision. And the responsibility for taking care of them, Islam is primarily laid on the guardians.
Each father has lost a child needs a man who will protect his life and property will be engaged in his education and to represent its interests. So, this protector, teacher and a representative called "wali" guardian. Our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) grew up an orphan and he was a witness of how bad people are orphans in their society, and was therefore in extreme attentive to everything that concerned the protection of their rights.
Widows and orphans were, perhaps, the most oppressed and disenfranchised people in this society. From Sahl ibn Sa'd passed the following hadith of our Prophet (peace be upon him): "I and the people, which has had the patronage of orphan will be in Paradise here so close" and motioned slightly separating the index and middle fingers. (Bukhari, "Talaaq", 25).
And in another hadeeth-i-Sharif, he said: "The best of the Muslim homes, where there is an orphan, which are well cared for. And the worst house in which bad dispense with visiting him an orphan. " (Ibn Majah, "Adab", 6).
He strongly demanded that the orphans were brought up in a warm family atmosphere. As you can see, it is important not just to provide them with a roof over your head and food and give them the opportunity to perform ibadah, but warmly, humanly treat them to show mercy. Otherwise, it will not be taking care of an orphan from the Islamic point of view.
In the Qur'anic verse contains a threat to those who do not comply with the rights of orphans. If the guardian does not give orphans their property, or substitute it worse, spending their possessions as their own, it would mean that he is not doing his duty and commits one of the seven great sins. Once our Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Beware of the three harmful things!"
When the Sahaabah were present were asked about the fact that these three things, he said: "Giving equal to Allah, sorcery occupation, deprived of civil rights deprivation of life, murder is forbidden Allah, usury, ozhiranie property orphans, desertion from the battlefield, charges of adultery nothing unsuspecting chaste women. " (Bukhari, "Vasaya", 23).
As already mentioned, in the pre-Islamic period people shamelessly spend the property of orphans.Sometimes they marry an orphan girl or married to their sons.
"Verily, those who unjustly devour the property of orphans, fill their bellies with fire and will burn in the Flame" (Surah Al 'Nisa' 4:10).
"Do not go near the orphan's property except for the sake of it, until he reaches the age of maturity" (Surah Al 'Angam ", 6: 152).
When these verses were revealed, the Muslims stopped to spend the property of orphans. Moreover, they have to be mindful not to accidentally confuse it with her. They are individually prepared meals for orphans who are in their home, or offered them to live in a separate house. But this situation turned out to be difficult and for orphans who did not know how to put to use their property, and by the patrons of these orphans. To save people from such misunderstanding, Almighty Allah's good pleasure:
"They ask you about orphans. Say: "Do good to them - well. When you combine their business, then surely they are - your brothers "(Surah" Baqara ", 2: 220
