History and some facts The Valentine's day
Time and time again we see people ardently dedicated to Valentine's day in February. This Festival was but foisted the Islamic society which is why we our youth, but also Muslims in the General the true character of this feast highlight want. Is an ever so slight bond between Muslims and this holiday? Celebrate someone this conviction or just stupidity and carelessness? Celebrate this feast of a love crisis out or you are in an intellectual or cultural crisis?
Those who celebrate this festival of 'love', should necessarily be informed about the truth of this festival. What are its historical roots? And what have the wolves so to do?
What does the Christian Church for this festival? These questions and more are answered in this essay. In the following, we will enter on some points:
Man celebrates by nature love to:
People love festivals and celebrations and feel attracted. Nothing is to oppose, as long as it behaves in the Islamic context. Islâm also wants people to rejoice and be happy. He wishes also to heal the broken souls and to eliminate the causes of sadness and misery. Who helps has already promised a huge reward get. The person should be full of life, merciful and sympathetic. He should meet the people friendly, accomodating and cheerful. The celebrations, which are man attracted to feels, is also the holiday, but why?
Because people on this day known to meet, relax, enjoy this day and be happy. Thus, many secular and religious targets, which is why the holiday is something special for the people in General regardless of their religion, is meet. To realize these objectives, the two feasts were introduced in Islâm, the feast at the end of Ramadân (´ Îd al-Fitr) and the feast of the sacrifice (´ Îd Al-Adhâ).Allâh allows us to celebrate these two festivals and to delight us as humans just need it on them. There are two allowed, blessed the Allâh, the Almighty, loves.
This proves us a Hadîth by ´ Aisha, in which she said: "the Prophet came in to me, when two little girls with me were the songs by BU ´ âth (one of the fixed fights between the tribes off and Chazradsch) sang." He lay down on his camp and turned away his face. Abû Bakr came in then and rebuked me, by saying: "The Devil's flute with the Messenger of Allah?" Then the Messenger of Allah turned his to and said: "Let them." Narrated by Al Bukhari and Imâm Muslim.
Another tradition says that the Prophet said: "O Abû Bakr, verily every people has a Festival and this is our celebration."
Stands in a tradition in the Musnad of Ahmad ibn Hanbal, that ´ Aisha said: "the Messenger of Allah once said: 'the Jews should know that our religion grants freedom." I was truly with the gracious fair religion (Al-Hanafiyya as samha) sent."
So, Islâm has an element that calls for joy. He is not a religion of stoicism, hardness and severity. He forbids humans either happiness or joy. Has not really understand Islâm who does not understand this. Islâm offers a pleasure that only those experienced, the the book of Allah and the Sunna of the Prophet know.
Allâh has created also a weekly feast day people, Friday. So the Prophet preferred that day and gave him a special position. All of this is a mercy of Allah, the exalted, this community of Muhammad's face and a completion of their religion. It is here probably superfluous to mention that the Muslim must be convinced, that the best and most perfect way of our Prophet Muhammad is. And that he must have internalized, that the best way of life is what the seal of Prophethood brought.Allâh, the exalted, says: "today I have perfected your religion for you and completed my grace upon you, and I am pleased with Islam as a religion for you." (Sûrah 5:3)
The non-Muslims celebrate many festivals, and they invent new:
If we contemplate on the feasts of the other communities, we see that they celebrate many festivals. To each national event a feast each year a Festival, a Festival for the mother, a feast for the work, a feast for the cultivation, a feast for the flowers, etc. It seems as if there is a special feast in almost every month, UN-Islamic practices and beliefs associated with the. All this they have invented and designed himself as Allâh, the exalted, says: '...und (also) a monasticism which they invented. " We have not prescribed it them..." (Sûrah 57:27)
Therefore also the times of these festivals have changed over the years depending on your preference of politics, society, etc. These festivals consist of so many rituals, customs and desires, that you can not mention them. You will find a complete listing but in the relevant literature.
The festivals are customs such as the decoration of the houses, the lighting of candles, Church, baking special sweets, the devotion of special music, accompanying production of lights, wreaths and other traditions.
More traditions of non-Muslim communities:
Each person celebrates the yearly day of his birth, his birthday. You invite your friends, cooking something special, light candles, and so on according to the age Unfortunately, there are also some Muslims who imitate this.
Therefore, everyone needs to know that all the parties of non-Muslims are a novelty and an aberration, and that the Muslims through the celebration of these festivals not may join the unbelief of non-Muslims to Allâh, the exalted. He, the Almighty, says: "who but as religious desires something other than Islâm, it of by him is not, believed and in the hereafter he losers belong."(Sûrah 3:85)
This matter is very important and needs high attention. The Muslims celebrate the festivals and holidays of non-Muslims and write to their religion. Islâm deals thoroughly with this issue.Allâh describes the faithful servants who follow the non-Muslims in their festivals, as follows: "And (also) those who witness no wrong speech..." (Sûrah 25:72)
Many early scholars salaf, like for example Ibn Sîrîn, Mujahid, AR Rabî ' ibn Anas and ´ Ikrimah said that the festivities of the idolaters were meant with the wrong speech here.
The scholar Ibn Taimîya said: "Allâh, the exalted, has described as a false statement the festivals of the idolaters. He forbade the presence at these parties and their testimony of his faithful servants. "If this is already banned, how does it then who actively participates and agree with them." End of quote.
Allâh gave his believing servants festivals, which is why she's don't have to assume the strength of others. Abû Dâwûd, of Nasâî and others delivered in a strong (sahîh) narration by Anas that he said: "as the Prophet which they themselves enjoyed two days, local residents celebrated arrived after Madîna." "He said: ' Allâh, the exalted, they gave you for something better: the day of the breaking of the fast (Al-Fitr) and the day of sacrifice (Al-Adhâ)."
The scholar ibn Hajar Al Asqalânî said: "I infer from this Hadîth that the celebration of the festivals of the idolaters and their imitation belong to the frowned upon acts."
Well, dear brothers and we are sisters, on the day of Valentine's day.
The Valentine's day... History and facts:
This Festival, some Muslims and non-Muslims call the day of love, originally called feast of Saint Valentine, short Valentine's day.Christians have put out him from a religious conviction on the 14th of February, which is found in their books and on which I later, so Allâh wants, will go into:
We would have stopped us not, to inform about this festival, when some Muslims, especially young people, have been influenced by this celebration.
Now, they must be informed about this festival and understand that this festival which they call the celebration of love, in fact is a religious celebration. It is strongly related to the doctrine of the faith of the Christians and the idolatry of the Romans.
The Christians are divided about its origin and its beginning:
Is it coveted from their legacy or the legacy of the Romans, who had as many gods as they. The Romans invented a God, for which a dark God, for the plants for love one God for the light God, for the rain God, for the Lakes a God for rivers one God, etc.
The Christians in turn pass many Fables, as shown by many foreign sources, such as the encyclopedia of Catholicism and theOlympic encyclopediaabout the origins of this festival. The writer Bart manifests itself also in his book the American festivals: the history of Valentine and George. These books are mentioned, in a book about the Valentine's day the the research departmentda'wa and basics of religion the University of Umm Al Qurâ in Makka was published.
Here the stories mentioning now, which can be found in the Christian literature about the origin of this celebration:
a. , it is said that 1700 years ago, a Roman priest named Valentine joined the former peak of idolatry in the Roman society, to Christianity. So, nothing was left the Romans to execute him.Centuries later, after the Romans had adopted Christianity, made it a holiday the day of the execution of Valentine's day. So they commemorate his and grieve if his assassination.
b. It is said that February 14 has been a sacred day of the Roman goddess Juno. They describe this goddess as the goddess of women and marriage. It was therefore appropriate to celebrate this day in relation to marriage and love.
c. One of the Roman goddesses was called Lupa which strangely was a she-Wolf. How can a Wolf just adore her? They say that Lupa have satisfied the two founders of the city of Rome in her childhood. Therefore, they made this date to a Festival, celebrated in the Temple of love. They gave him this name because of the she-Wolf Lupa, who should have these two children mercy on them and saved them.
d You say that the Roman Emperor Claudius II had trouble, to command all men of Rome as soldiers for the war. On his quest after the reason that prevented the able-bodied men to commit itself, he noted that the married men not wished to leave their families, move with him in the war. So nothing was left him, to prohibit the marriage or to make it more difficult. Then turned the priest Valentine's against him and secretly married the couples in his Church. The Emperor ordered him to arrest and kill on February 14, 269. It says so in their Annals. At the present time, the Church has again renounced by the connection of this festival with the goddess Lupa. She brings it now in connection with Saint Valentine. The Christians then depicted Europe statues of this Saint Valentine's in all parts. However the Church decided in 1969, officially for not more to celebrate this feast.
Question: Why have you chosen?
They claim that these festivities in any religious or cultural context are available. People celebrate it but until today in all continents of the world, unfortunately, even in the Islamic countries. I suspect that the Muslims who celebrate this festival, have never heard something of the history of the she-Wolf Lupa. This Festival has gained great importance with the help of the media and has now gained both social and economic importance. All people, except, which has preserved from Allâh, celebrate this festival. It is not of interest whether this party is based on a she-Wolf, Saint Valentine, or something else, as long as there is a reason to celebrate.
Muslims also began to participate in the Valentine's move.Especially after the communications have so reproduced, the Valentine's day on various parts of the world has spread among others in Muslim countries. Many men and women attend the Valentin move and sing on February 14, "My Valentine". More and more ages feel addressed, even up to adulthood. The advertising of media and the merchant and the rising consumption goods contribute to this.
See only our brothers and sisters, the problems in love and then on this day seize the opportunity to reveal their hidden feelings.
Unfortunately, this fact is only a problem among the many large problems of our today's community.
I call my brothers and sisters who celebrate Valentine's day, to reflect on themselves.
Now, we want to think about some customs who practice non-Muslims as well as some Muslims on Valentine's day. You dress up especially, treat each other with cards, flowers and roses and place particular value on the color red. This color symbolizes something perverse, what many Muslims probably don't know them. Even cake and dessert garnish them red. Boys and girls write love poems on these cards.
You buy red cloth bears with painted hearts and printed slogans such as "I love you". These are sold at exorbitant prices to then give them as a sign of love. Allâh is above any blemish. What is the relationship between an animal and a word of love? More than the letter B love and the bear probably don't have in common.
You assume that there is a God of love called Cupid. There are those in the form of a doll. He has the appearance of a child with wings and carries a bow and arrow with it. We give this doll a child to play, it would reject this doll because she small and in his eyes is nothing special. How can the adults who celebrate this festival, see only then this child as a deity?
Some pupils and students agree with each other, to visit the school or University in red clothing.
Some boys go after girls especially on this day, by they tell them that they want to love and marry. Then, they commit the vile with them. Above all this is therefore February 14 a bitter and painful memories for many girls.
Every Muslim noticed that these practices of the normal Aqeedah contradict and destroy the belief in the oneness of God in the hearts of the people.
They are a sign of lack of knowledge. This includes the lack of Islamic knowledge and the lack of education have led.
A repeat for those who celebrate this Festival:
-The boys and girls
I ask you: what's wrong with you? You are celebrating this and other events of non-Muslims due to an inner need, that we all know. Your assessment given by Allâh guess a but also so that you know that Allâh is the only one who has the right to be worshipped. If you look this up and understand, you will realize the clear error which you have committed at the same moment. I don't think that this error in ´ Aqeedah (doctrine of the faith) harm you even if you have committed a sin like every one of us.
-Gifts for Valentine's day
Scientists consider it the Muslim as prohibited, to accept any gifts or meals on the occasion of a Festival of non-Muslims.
The scholar Ibn Taimiya Allah have mercy upon his said: "one should assume its gift who give a gift the Muslims on these holidays, that is specifically related to this festival. This applies especially for gifts used to celebrate this festival." End of quote.
The mothers and fathers need to monitor this in their children.Especially when they see that the daughter specifically on this day wearing red clothing or wants to buy you on the occasion of this day roses or cards. Then it is on them to show their children the truth in a convincing Islamic and educational tone.
Teachers should try to talk with their students about this and explain to them what is this festival in reality. They should listen to what's going on in the girls, so that they can correct these superstitions.
-The compliment to Valentine's day
Unfortunately, you can see the power of this pagan feast tear that again and again let Muslims, and mutually compliment each other to this day. This thing but has nothing to do with their religion in common.
The Imâm Ibn Al-Qaiyyim Allah have mercy upon his said: "the scholars agree, that it is prohibited to congratulate on the occasion of pagan rituals. This includes the compliment to her fasting or their festivities, by one them, for example ' wishes you a Merry Christmas or similar. If the Gratulierende is not even a non-Muslim, he has committed a great sin. It's like, he would have congratulated him for a prostration before the cross, worse still, it is one of the greatest sins and even worse than someone drinking alcohol to congratulate murder or fornication. Many Muslims who do not know their religion, make that mistake and don't even know how bad this is. Because the who congratulates the servants of sin, the innovation in the religion or disbelief, invited the wrath of Allah on themselves.
-The youth and the Valentine's day
On February 14, many young men are maintained with shiny shoes and cleaned cars on the road, as if it were the own wedding. This idea goes by but as soon as you drive down certain streets and markets sees.
O young man, you're not the first, which is attracted to the female gender. Knows that Islâm has been a pure frame this drive, which brings happiness and satisfaction with it. And if you say now: "When I should marry?", then I answer you that this does not excuse you give to the girls.
"Once a young man came to the Messenger of Allah." He knew that adultery was prohibited. He said: ' O of Messenger of Allah, allow me to commit fornication. ' The Messenger said: 'Come!' As he came closer, he said: 'Do you want that your mother?' He said: 'No.' The Messenger said: "And the people do not wish their mothers." Then the Messenger asked him: 'Do you want that your daughter?' He said: 'No.' The Messenger said: 'And also the people do not wish their daughters.' The Messenger continued: 'you want's your sister?' He said: 'No.' He said: 'And the people do not want's her sisters.' He asked: 'you wish your aunt paternal?'He said: 'No.' He said: "And the people do not want their aunts paternal." He said: 'you wish your aunt maternal?' He said: 'No.'He said: "And the people do not want their aunts maternal." " " Of narrators of this Hadîthes, Abû Umâma said: "the Messenger put his hand on the shoulder of the young man and said: 'O Allâh, forgive him his sin, purge his heart and keep his privates.'" Abû Umâma said: "Then this young man no longer worried about any matter (in terms of the women)." Narrated by Imâm Ahmad.
The Imâm as Shafi'i ' î said:
Be chaste, so your women are chaste the denied
And avoid what is not a Muslim.
Adultery is to blame, once recorded, a
Have your family settle this! Wisse
Who runs fornication, the fornication will happen, and be it only with his wall!
If you are in mind, then I see!
Who you befleckst the inviolable place of men
and cut off the path of kindness, live dishonourable!
If you free and pure descent,.
You vergingest you not on the inviolable a Muslim!
-The dealer of the Valentine's day:
We would exhort those of our brothers who sell things the Muslims on the holidays of non-Muslims belong to the tradition of this festival. The same is true for those who produce these things. By selling these things, they support their fellow human beings in their sins, and contribute to the spread of the doctrine of non-Muslims. This will be fatal such traders in the this world and hereafter.
The scholar Ibn Taimiya said: "Every Muslim who sold food, clothing etc., thus they are similar to the non-Muslims in their festivals, Muslims supported it in their outrage."
-Valentine's day and the media:
The media in their diversity a major contribution did, that could spread the Valentine's day in so many countries. Unfortunately the media and journalists such as parrots behave: speak to the details of this festival of international media, disregarding the ´ Aqeedah and the values of Muslims. Particularly the globalization purpose to bring Western living in our houses.
The Fatwâs of the scholars about this Festival: The scholar Ibn Al Uthaimîn was asked about the celebrations and participating in Valentine's day.
He replied: this festival to celebrate is prohibited for three reasons:
a. It is a newly introduced celebration without any basis in Islâm.
b. To prohibited lust and passion calls.
c. Calls on the heart to deal with, which run counter to the way of life of former Muslims with senseless things.
It is forbidden to participate in the rituals of this feast that day, either by eating and drinking, wearing certain clothes, or giving certain gifts. The Muslim should sincerely follow his religion and not just blindly imitate something. The Messenger of Allah said: "you are sure the habits of those who were before you, order to order and Elle to Elle followed. Even if they kröchen in a thorny tail lizard cave, her before in this..." Narrated by Al Bukhari and Imâm Muslim.
The scholars say about the wisdom of this Hadîthes:
The cave of the spine tail lizard is one of the tightest and dirtiest caves. Nevertheless, those Muslims follow the non-Muslims, because they imitate them so much. Although they are located in this hopeless situation, hold for very advanced: therefore, Allâh warns to influence us by the non-Muslims and to follow them or to take them as protectors. He who exalted, says: "O ye who believe do not take those who make fun of your religion and take them to the object of the game of those given the Scripture before you, and the non-Muslims to patrons." And fear Allâh, if ye have faith! " (Sûrah 5:57)
The scholar Ibn Kathîr said about this verse:
"This is a secession by all those who protect the enemies of Islâm. Those pagans and font owners who accepted a part of the disclosure and moved their benefit and fun made about another part of are meant."
The delivered Imâm Ahmad and Abû Dawood, that the Messenger of Allah said: "who Joe to a people, who belong to him."
Scientists say who imitates a people, by love and admiration so dresses like she follows her life path, their behaviour adopts and so is how they, belongs to this extent, how he imitates them, because a binding between outer appearance and inner conviction.
I say dear brothers and sisters, at the end of this article:
Imitating the non-Muslims in their celebrations, especially this festival, has opened them a way to bring their habits and culture in the Islamic society.
The Muslims must fear Allâh and careful to follow the non-Muslims on their mistake. They may not melt in this worldly life and his jewelry, they need the assurance that their religion is perfect. They should beware that erharten their hearts and they therefore never be guided. Allâh says: "So those who act contrary to his command, should provide, that not a temptation she meets or sees her painful punishment."
This verse warns anyone who the law of Allah and the Sunnah of the Prophet contravenes against a temptation in the form of unbelief or of hypocrisy on that she meets not the bad punishment in this world and the hereafter.
