Benefits of fasting on the Day of Ashura

On the 10th day of the holy month of Muharram there is one of the most significant days of the Muslim calendar - the day of Ashura.
On the Day of Ashura

Ashura - a special day in the history of Islam. This is a blessed day, which was granted by the grace of the salvation of many prophets. Hashem in His mercy took Adam's repentance on the Day of Ashura. On this day, Allah has bestowed upon Nuh (peace be upon him) and his followers, who were with the Prophet on the ark, saved from destruction in the flood. On this day Allah saved Prophet Moses gave (peace be upon him) and his community. On this day, Allah Almighty has protected His Prophet (peace be upon him) and his followers from harm unbelievers.
On this day it is necessary the creation of Allah Almighty Heaven, Earth, Arsha, Course, Angels, the first man - Adam (peace be upon him).
Fasting on the Day of Ashura
When the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to Medina and saw the Jews fasting on the day of 'Ashura, he asked them, "What is this?" They replied: "This is - good day, the day when Allah saved the children of Israil from their enemy, so Musa began to fast on that day. " To this the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have more right to Moosa than you!", After which he observe a fast on this day and he told it to do the rest. "
A hadith says: "The best month for fasting after the month of Ramadan - the month of Muharram - and the best prayer after the obligatory prayers and prayer, committed in the depths of the night, that is, Tahajjud prayer - prayer perpetrated on the day of Ashura. "
The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I hope in Allah that fasting on the day of Ashura will atone for the sins of the past year!"
According sunnah fasting the day of Ashura should be kept to a day before or after, so as not to be like the people of the Scriptures. Ibn 'Abbas said: "When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fasted on the day of Ashura and ordered his companions to do the same, they said:" O Messenger of Allah, it is - a day that is venerated by the Jews and Christians. " Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Next year will Allah, we fast and ninth numbers."
Also, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Observe fasting on the day of Ashura; but differs from the Jews fasting on the day before that day or the day after. "
The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said: "Fasting the day of' Arafat expiates the sins of two years, the last and the next year, and a post on the day of 'Ashura expiate the sins of the past year."
Iban Abbas narrated: "I never saw the Messenger of Allah passionately wishing to fast on any other day and in preference to any other day than the day of Ashura and during this month (meaning the month of Ramadan).
