This sin will not be able to redeem even remorse
"They do not show false, and when they pass by idle, then go with dignity." (Surah Al 'Furqan, verse 72)
Testimony in Islam is important. If you want to be witnesses - is a religious obligation that every Muslim must perform. A rejection of the testimony or obviously false witness is a great sin. Making justice and revealing truths depend largely on it to perform its duties witnesses.
If a person says that he has not seen or heard about anything does not know what he saw, heard and know about it, it is called false testimony. Since such actions cause great harm to people and cause the violation of many rights, they are considered haram in our religion, and one of the greatest sins. It is no accident the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked his neighbor: "I tell you what is the greatest sin of all great sins"
Three times he repeated his question, and then listed: "Giving equal to Allah, disobedience to parents, and false testimony." Repeating said several times, he warned those who were close to him. (Bukhari, "Shahadat", 10; Muslim, "Iman", 143).
For false testimony no kaffarat (redemption). Repented, too, can not escape from spiritual responsibility for this act, because it is a violation of human rights. And in this case, who has made his people first must compensate the victim for the harm to ask for forgiveness and to achieve its location, and then repent to Allah, promising never to do such acts, to ask Allah for forgiveness of sins, and only then can he hope on the redemption of his sin.
Our great God is calling us, testifying to Allah, uphold justice, even if the evidence is against us, or against the parent, or against relatives (Nisa, 4: 135), to be steadfast for the sake of Allah, bearing witness impartially, and that hatred of the individual people are not pushed us to the injustice (Ma'idah, 5: 8), does not hide the fact that we know (Baqara, 2: 140, 283), not to give up when we are called to be witnesses (Baqara, 2: 282). When there is such a need, we must put aside all doubts and fears, and to witness the truth with the exclusive intention to earn the pleasure of Allah.
Use during the second part of the verse the word "al lagvi" means empty, useless, insignificant error, poor, nasty, pointless words and conversations, as well as idleness, inaction or negative actions in moral terms. One of these words and actions can be haram as disbelief or polytheism, part makrooh, that is forbidden, but allowed by the Shariah, and some useless mubah.
Our human life is short and precious, limited to the period of our mortal test, giving us the opportunity to earn eternal life. And if so, then we should not spend this has given us a short period of time on pointless and vain pursuits. The Prophet (peace be upon him) warned us that health and free time are the two most important values, and that most people do not know how to appreciate the true grace of these two. (Bukhari, 1).
In another hadith, he drew our attention to the need to avoid empty words and useless affairs: "Leaving a person everything that does not concern him, - it is an excellent indicator of Islam." (Tirmidhi, "Zuhdi," 11).
To not be in this position and to be able to notice how we completely envelop us regarding the problem, we should conduct a daily review of their actions and to check what we were doing at that directed attention to that spent their time.
In this verse also demanded from us with dignity to pass by when we see or hear the idle empty talk. But from all this it can not be concluded that it is necessary to follow the rule, "none of my business, I know nothing." Let us not forget that conduct useful discussions, to encourage people to do good and to keep them from evil, to gain knowledge and teach others, remember Allah frequently - all this is our religious duty. But at the same time, we will stay away from the empty chatter, slander and backbiting, of useless for our religion and for our worldly deeds and acts.
