 We do not know the source of Egyptian writing today. The questions that we, historians, we are as follows: It was organized by the Egyptians themselves or suffered some influences of the Mesopotamian people?

Of doubt, it is known that developed three different kinds of writing:
  • The Hieroglyphic which is based on the use of prints;
  • The Hieratic , which is a simplified version of the Hieroglyphic;
  • And demotic that was used to prepare thewritings of daily affairs.

We will deal here writing Hieroglyphics , which is the oldest organized system of writing in the world. It is the origin of its name " hierós " which means sacred, and " glyphein ", which means writing. As we can see in the nominal origin, there is a special relationship with the Egyptians to this writing. Considering it as something sacred.
Writing in Ancient Egypt
Its development and enhancement, provided a great production written in ancient Egypt .Dealing with everyday issues and even explanations of myths and religious rituals, largely found throughout Egyptian culture.
Thus writing in ancient Egypt can achieve great importance to all the Egyptian Empire, because it was a state of great land mass, and was just writing the cornerstone for this administration was successful. Despite being almost exclusively to a few individuals within the Egyptian society.
The responsible for mastering reading and writing of hieroglyphs were the Scribes , who had a privileged position in society by this fact.
The intellectual formation of the Scribes was given in an institute, a school where the best students, the best prepared, could the best positions within the state administration.These positions were as functions account for taxes, supervise and evaluate public actions properties.
The written understanding was not one of the easiest tasks. It had to much study and knowledge. As there was a monetary economy at the time their services were paid through goods as agricultural supplies, meat, salt, among others.
To date, researchers today still have a hard time reading some historical sources with this writing. This is partly because of all the knowledge we have on the subject is still very recent, since the study of the area began in the nineteenth century when Napoleon invaded Egypt and demonstrated interest in Pharaonic culture. It is precisely this interest and discovery of works by Napoleon it was possible to read and understand the various documents that help us to understand the Egyptian civilization.
