Our pious predecessors (our Salafi) Ramadan
Our pious predecessors (our Salafi) Ramadan
Some salaf (pious predecessors) recited the whole Qur'an every three days, others every seven days, others every ten days.
The salaf recited the Quran both during and outside the Ramadan prayers. Al-Aswad was finishing the Koran all two nights during the month of Ramadan;Ibrahim an-Nakhi was doing this precisely during the last 10 nights. Qatada was finishing the Koran every 7 days during the year, but in three days during the month of ramadan and during the last 10 days of the blessed month, he read it every night.
Al-Zuhri said when Ramadan begins: "' we take care of the recitation of the Quran and it fed the poor.»"When Ramadan started, Imam Malik stopped narrating hadith, he would sit with scholars, and was attached to the Koran. As to Sufyan Al-Thawri, he left some acts of worship to devote himself to the Quran. Aisha recited the Koran throughout the night until dawn, then slept. Zayd al-Yami broughtmushafs and gathered his friends around him.
The prohibition to read the Quran in less than three days apply in cases where it would make this regular practice, but in Ramadan, especially during the search for Laylat ul-Qadr, or Mecca for who goes there, it is recommended that you increase the Koranic reading. It is the view of Ahmad, Ishaq and other Imams, and the practice of many others."
It is not important whether this opinion is right, since anyway very few are those who read the Quran in three days! Another model, Bukhari (3/79) reported that Zaid bin Thabit said:
"We took the meal's end of midnight with the Prophet, Salla Allahu Alaihi wa SAllam, barely he had finished, he stood up for the morning prayer.After how long? Asked t - on. Time to read 50 verses, said Zayd." (Bukhari and Muslim)
If we consider the measurement of time in occupation, this shows that the Sahibs were already very busy to read the Holy Quran during the year, so they were necessarily much to Ramadan. If we compare this to our State, while we speak of restoring Islam, to apply the Koran, etc..tout while we spend so little time, might be even without ever completing in its recitation! For this reason, there are very large imbalances in our understanding of Islam, some verses are never read or heard; We repeat usually only a certain number of verses;ignoring their context, their scope, and therefore the scale contained in the Quran, everything that makes it beautiful and miraculous. Because of this, we are moving away from straight path, we divide in sects, and we lose the blessings of Allah...
Finally, remember that the Messenger of God, Salla Allahu Alaihi wa SAllam, complain to God on the day of the judgment of people who have ignored the Holy Qur'an:
« And the Messenger said: "' Lord, my people really took the Koran to a forsaken thing " (surah al-Furqan 25: 30). "
Ibn al-Qayyim said that the negligence of the Qur'an occurs at different levels:
Do not recite or listen to it;
Do not study it and understand it;
Not to transmit his message;
Do not judge according to what there is registered;
Do not believe.
