10 mysteries of the sura "Al-Kahf"

Have you ever wondered why the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) asked to read Surah "Al-Kahf" every Friday?
This sura contains a few stories. Let's see what lessons we can learn from the bottom:

  1. People from the cave
This is a story about young people, who lived in a city with unbelievers. These people were believers, and they fled the city for the sake of Allah. Allah has bestowed upon them his mercy and hid them from the sun in the cave. When they woke up 300 years later, they returned to their city, in which only the faithful lived.
Lesson: our faith is being tested.
  1. The owner of two gardens
This is a story about a man whom Allah has blessed, and gave him two beautiful garden. However, this man is not only forgot to thank God for such a blessing, but also questioned the existence of life after death. As punishment for this attitude of his garden was destroyed. Man sorry, but it is too late and it unfortunately did not bring him any benefit.
Lesson: people experience wealth.
  1. The story of Musa (saw) and Khidr (saw)
When Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) asked who is the most knowledgeable of the people on Earth, he calls himself the most knowledgeable, as he considers himself the only prophet who lived at the time in the world. Allah reveals to him that there is another person (Khidr), which has much more knowledge about some things. Musa (peace be upon him) on a journey to get to know this person and know that sometimes divine wisdom lies in these things that ordinary people think something bad.
Lesson: people experience knowledge.
  1. The story of Dhul-Qarnayn
Allah brings the story of a great king, who were given knowledge and power. He travels through the earth and helps people by spreading the truth and the good.He was able to protect people from the tribe Yajuji Majuj and lifted a large wall. It should be noted that the wall was built, together with the people, which it Dhul-Qarnayn did not even realize.
The lesson: the power of the test.
In the middle of the surah Allah mentions Iblis as one who provokes these tests:
"Here We said to the angels:" Prostrate to Adam, "they all bowed but Iblis!. He was one of the jinn and disobeyed the will of his Lord. Do you take him and his descendants for its patrons and helpers instead of Me, whereas they are your enemies? The bad is the replacement for the wrong-doers! "(18:50).
Many hadith the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said that the one who reads and memorizes verses of Surah "Al-Kahf", will be protected from the Dajjal.
Abu Darda (may Allaah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said: "He who learns the first 10 verses of Surah" Al-Kahf "will be protected from the Dajjal." According to another version, it is necessary to learn the last 10 verses of this surah (Muslim).
Now let's look at the relationship between the sura "Al-Kahf" and Dajjal. Dajjal will appear before the Day of Judgment and will punish people 4 tests:
  • It will force people to worship him instead of God.This is a test of faith.
  • b) It will have great power: he can stop and shed rain.He will tempt people with his wealth. This test is wealth.
  • He would experience the people and the new knowledge that will be given to him. Test knowledge.
  • It will have authority over the vast territories of the Earth. power test.
How to overcome these challenges?
Allah says in Surah on how to overcome these challenges.
  1. Being surrounded by the righteous people
"Be as patient with those who call upon their Lord morning and evening, and seek His countenance. Do not turn away from them, their sight, wanting ornaments of this world, and do not obey one whose heart We have made neglectful of Our remembrance, who follows his desire and whose deeds will be in vain "(18:28).
  1. To know the truth about this world
"Bring them a parable about the life of this world. It is like water which We send down from the sky.Terrestrial plants are mixed with it (or because of it), and then turn into a dry blade of grass, scattered by the wind. Verily, Allah is Able to do all things "(18:45).
  1. be humble
"He [Musa] said:" If Allah wills, you will find me patient, and I do not disobey your commandments "(18:69).
  1. be sincere
"Say:" Truly, I - the same people, just like you. I instilled in the revelation that your God - only God. He who hopes to meet his Lord, let him work righteousness, and no one worships along with their Lord "(18: 110).
  1. Turn to Allah
"Read the scripture of your Lord revealed to you in the revelation. There is no substitute to him, and you will not find refuge besides Him "(18:27).
  1. Remembering the Hereafter
"On that day, We will make mountains move, and you will see that the earth is flat. We will gather them all and did not miss. They will appear before your Lord in rows, "You came to us such as We created you the first time. But you thought that we do not make an appointment with you. " the book will be put, and you see how sinners are trepeschat of that in it. They will say: "Woe to us! What is this book! It has not lost any small or great sin - all counted. " They will find in front of you all did, and thy Lord with anyone will not be wronged "(18: 47-49).
